Removalists in Coorparoo

Coorparoo is one of Brisbane's most established inner-south suburbs, and moving here means dealing with a real mix of homes: timber Queenslanders and post-war houses on sloping blocks, renovated cottages, and a growing number of apartments and townhouses near Old Cleveland Road. Ben Moves Brisbane is a family-owned removalist led by Ben Sievwright, who brings 25 years of moving industry experience. Since 2019 our team has completed more than 20,000 moves, and Coorparoo is one of the areas we know well.

Moving Queenslanders and character homes in Coorparoo

Away from the shops, streets climbing toward Cavendish Road and Chatsworth Road are lined with Queenslanders, interwar bungalows and post-war homes, many raised on stumps with long front stairs, or set on steep ridges where the truck can't park right at the door. Our crews plan for this before move day: how many steps, where the truck can stand, and which items need extra hands. Heavy pieces like pianos, timber dressers and solid dining tables are wrapped and carried by large, experienced crews rather than rushed by two people. See our furniture removals page for how we handle awkward and fragile items.

Apartments and townhouses

Coorparoo Square, on the corner of Old Cleveland and Cavendish roads, and the newer blocks around Coorparoo Junction and the train station have basement car parks, height-limited entries and shared lifts. Tell us about lift bookings, loading areas and parking rules when you request your quote, and we'll plan the truck and team to suit. Our modern trucks have ramps and hydraulic lifts, which makes a big difference when there's no loading dock.

Getting around: Old Cleveland Road, Cavendish Road and beyond

Old Cleveland Road and Cavendish Road are Coorparoo's main arterials, and the South East Freeway is close by, so we reach neighbouring Camp Hill, Greenslopes, Norman Park and Stones Corner easily. Our Bulimba depot is the closest, with our Mt Gravatt depot almost as near, which keeps travel to your pickup short.

Moving tips for Coorparoo

  • Plan around the Junction. The Old Cleveland and Cavendish Road intersection is the suburb's busiest spot. Tell us if your street feeds into it, and we'll plan the timing to suit.
  • Check your block. Homes on the steeper ridges often have sloping driveways or stairs from the street. Mention these when you quote so we send the right crew.
  • Near Norman Creek? Some lower streets are in flood-overlay areas. If heavy rain is forecast for your move day, tell us, and we'll plan the carry route and timing to suit.
  • Raised and renovated homes often have new internal stairs that are tighter than they look. Measure big items like fridges and wardrobes before move day.
