If your move-out and move-in dates do not line up, ask about moving and storage in Brisbane. Our storage is at Eagle Farm. We can discuss collection, storage and delivery together, so you can plan the gap between homes.
Apartment and unit moves
For an apartment move, access matters as much as the amount of furniture. Check with your building manager or body corporate about lift reservations, loading dock bookings, permitted moving times and any protection required in shared areas. Tell us about truck height limits, stairs and the distance from the loading area to your door at both addresses.
Include those bookings and access details in your home move quote. We can then plan the truck and crew around your building, rather than finding out on moving day.

SMALL TRUCK
18–27 m³
Rough guide: a lightly furnished 1–2 bedroom home.
With capacities from 18 to 27 cubic metres, our small trucks suit smaller loads and moves where access needs careful planning. Tell us about your driveway and parking so we can advise on a suitable truck.
MEDIUM TRUCK
35–44 m³
Rough guide: a 2–3 bedroom home.
Our medium trucks provide 35–44 cubic metres of space for local relocations. We consider your furniture, boxes and access requirements when choosing the vehicle and team for your move.
LARGE TRUCK
Up to 55 m³
Rough guide: a 3–5 bedroom home.
Our large trucks offer up to 55 cubic metres of space for larger relocations. A detailed inventory helps us work out the load, access arrangements and the number of removalists needed.
Bedroom counts are only a rough guide. Furniture, boxes, access and loading space determine the truck required; our team will confirm from your inventory.

Five Brisbane depots
Our five depots: Eagle Farm, Mt Gravatt, Indooroopilly, Stafford and Bulimba. Your quote identifies the depot used for your travel charge; confirm it with our team before estimating travel time.
Your truck returns to the same depot it departed from after delivery. Travel time to pickup and back to that original depot is charged at the same rate quoted for your move. We use Google Maps driving times for both depot journeys, so you can forecast your travel costs before moving day.
An early start can reduce peak-hour traffic delays and travel costs. Starting around 8 or 9 am can mean heavier traffic on the journey from the depot to your pickup. Ask our team about a start time that suits your move.

How do I get a clear written quote?

How and when do I pay?
Invoices are issued on moving day and are payable in full when issued, unless another arrangement has been agreed with our office. You can pay by debit or credit card, bank transfer or cash.
What should I know about insurance?
Our transit insurance has a $1,000 customer excess and policy exclusions. In particular:
- Fragile or breakable items, including glass, are subject to exclusions and may be moved at your risk.
- Items or contents not packed and unpacked by Ben Moves Brisbane or our official representative are excluded under the published policy terms.
- TVs, monitors and other fragile technology without their original packaging are moved at your risk.

Can you help us pack and unpack?
Yes. Ask about packing and unpacking when requesting your quote, so we can plan the right help for you.
What about pianos or heavy items?
Let us know about pianos, pool tables and other heavy or difficult items before move day. We’ll work out the equipment, team and any additional costs in advance.
Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Our trucks carry toolboxes and our removalists can help with items such as beds and desks. Include any specific requirements in your quote request.
How is my move charged?
Our quoted prices include GST. Hourly moves are charged in 15-minute increments after the quoted minimum, and travel covers the journey from our depot to your pickup and back after delivery. Heavy lifts, tolls and materials may attract extra charges, as set out in your quote.
How much do removalists cost in Brisbane?
Our removalists charge by the hour, so you only pay for the time your move takes. The cost depends on the truck size, number of removalists, access at both addresses and travel from our nearest depot. Every job is quoted first in writing, so you know how it works before you book. How far ahead should I book Brisbane removalists?
As early as you can, especially for Fridays, Saturdays and the end of the month, which are our busiest days. If you need to move sooner, call 0403 153 331 and we'll check what's available.
What size truck do I need?
As a rough guide, a small truck (18–27 m³) suits a lightly furnished 1–2 bedroom home, a medium truck (35–44 m³) suits a 2–3 bedroom home and a large truck (up to 55 m³) suits a 3–5 bedroom home. Your inventory and access matter more than bedroom count, so our team will confirm the right truck when we quote.
Do you move small loads or just a few items?
Yes. For one or a few items, our Milk Run runs every Tuesday (book by 5pm Monday), and we also do small moves and furniture moves across Brisbane.
What are your office hours?
Our office is open Monday to Friday 7am–5pm and Saturday 7am–12pm. We're based at 2/24 Eagleview Pl, Eagle Farm QLD 4009.
